Methodology owner

Henry Bennett is the named methodology owner. Methodology decisions are signed by the owner, and the owner is contactable at [email protected].

Versioning policy

Every methodology change produces a new version (v1.0 → v1.1). Each version has a permanent URL that is never redirected and never removed. Index values are tagged with the methodology version that produced them.

Change-notice period

Non-trivial methodology changes are announced (newsletter and site banner) at least 14 days before they take effect.

Error-correction policy

Errors are corrected promptly. Every correction is logged on the public corrections page with date, scope, and the methodology version affected. Affected published values are flagged with a correction notice rather than silently overwritten. Historical values remain visible, marked as superseded, alongside the corrected value.

Data-outage policy

Data freshness is shown on the public status page. Outages over 48 hours are acknowledged on the site with an explanation.

Challenge process

Methodology challenges go to [email protected]. Substantive challenges produce a public response, even if the conclusion is no change.
